AERO Member Chris Conley to be honoured at Congress 2012

The AERO Executive is pleased to announce that Chris Conley, a long time AERO member and Past President, will be receiving the Todd Rogers Research Award at the annual conference of the Canadian Society for Study of Education. As a Past President and a long time Executive member of AERO Chris has been involved in many facets of education research in Ontario including:

• Founding member the Hierarchical Linear Modeling Learning and Research Community (HLM-LRC) to encourage collaboration with this quantitative technique
  
• Acted as the AERO representative on the Ontario Education Research Panel (OERP), itself a network of researchers bridging school districts, post secondary institutions and government
  
• A leader in the Early Years Education Ontario Network (EYEON) and helped to partner AERO and EYEON in the development of a research grant dedicated to the early years field
  
• Worked with the Managing Information for Student Achievement (MISA) network in Ontario to support evidence informed decision making, effective teaching and improved learning through a collaborative approach to developing and sustaining the capacity of research in education
